Since the introduction of the first model in the late eighties, AKAI's MPC Series controllers have been the go-to bit of kit for countless musicians, producers and other beat-makers. In the fresh red form of the MPC One+, AKAI have once again reworked their winning-formula to bring it bang up-to-date.
Features of the AKAI Professional MPC One+
As a standalone console, the MPC One+ can be used to produce music without a laptop or computer which also helps to do away with everyday distractions like social media, keeping you focussed on what's most important: the music. To make producing as streamlined as possible, AKAI have built-in a Wi-Fi receiver, Bluetooth MIDI, and no less than 16 gigabytes of memory for saving projects - a sweet upgrade since, in case you didn't know, the standard MPC One only comes with a 2GB storage capacity.
Built-In DAW and Full Support for External Gear
The extra-large touch display of the MPC One+ is not only extra-intuitive, but provides access to a built-in DAW which, along with the various pressure-and-velocity-sensitive pads, buttons and controls, gives you everything you need need to whip up beats in a flash. What's more, you're looking at a USB port and SD card slot as well as CV/gate, DIN-MIDI and USB-MIDI ports, so there are more than enough ways to load tracks and hook up external gear as needed.

Super gave all-in-one die boven verwachting presteert. De bouw van het product is ook zeer goed. Ik ben een doorgewinterde producer en heb deze aangeschaft om overal (dawless) te kunnen produceren, maar ook als hoofd-unit voor mijn live-act. Super hands-on en het door velen genoemde (en demotiverende) menu-diving valt reuze mee als je er een beetje mee gespeeld hebt. Na een aantal jaren werken met de NI Maschine en Maschine Jam, moet ik toch echt toegeven dat de MPC One+ veel fijner is en ook meer intuïtief. Ook fijn is dat hij wifi heeft, dus koppel je Splice account en je hebt nog meer mogelijkheden ;)
Dit product was snel aangekomen en TOP spul zoals iedereen al verwacht van akai

heb lang getwijfeld tussen deze en een drumcomputer, toch deze groove box gekozen. Hij is erg snel met afspelen en monteren van samples. Een simpel ritme maken lukt me ook al. Toch is het een erg complex apparaat met veel mogelijkheden die ik niet snap. Zo kan ik een project opslaan, maar als ik het project wil laden moet ik naar 5 directories en dan het project clicken, niet erg snel. Heb een STEMS app gekocht en snel geinstalleerd, ik kan er na een weekje iets mee werken, maar kan nog niet de volume regelaars vinden voor bas, drums, zang en instrumenten. Soms vind ik die per ongeluk, het apparaat is erg ingewikkeld voor beginners. Toch zijn er veel goede punten, het touch-screen is erg mooi en reageert goed. Ik houd er voorlopig een USB-stick bij, dan weet ik waar mijn samples blijven. Samen met mijn Hammond SX-PRO heb ik een goede combinatie die niet te zwaar is. Mijn Fantom 8 is makkelijker te bedienen vind ik, maar is weer veel te zwaar om mee te sjouwen.
